Facility Matrix Group's CAFM team helps companies automate their real estate and facilities management processes using industry-standard Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), CAD and Project Management software. Our CAFM systems enable users to create, integrate, manage, and communicate asset data and information that can be rapidly distributed at the local, regional, or global levels. The FMG team assesses an organization's needs, and then recommends a database solution that will most effectively manage the company's real estate and facilities assets. CAFM services include:
Lease Management
The proper management of any critical space— owned or leased—requires quick access to critical information. By combining the right technology with our experienced personnel, we can implement a well thought out program that helps clients to: Determine when to act on escalations, rollovers and other critical lease dates; identify the ratio of owned and leased properties; track all space and equipment (leased and owned) including the roof, antenna sites, lightning protection, generators, fuel storage facilities, etc.; and create detailed contact lists of contractors by specialty, geographic proximity to a specific site, capability, and availability for emergency services.
Space Management
The process of building a usable space management plan starts with an evaluation of the existing facility. Using CAD and CAFM technologies to create and manage space inventories, FMG creates a space management plan that identifies every characteristic of a client facility, including personnel headcount (employees, contract wor kers, etc.), architectural features, furniture, security space constraints and lease management.
Move Management
Moving can be very disruptive and costly—whether it is an internal change of a department or individuals within a facility or mobilizing new facilities. To ensure minimal disturbance and reduce cost, as well as time involved, in moving staff and equipment, FMG utilizes a CAFM Move Management technology that tracks: Organizational churn, business unit, division and departmental churn rate, construction, furniture and box moves, and cost of churn. Move work orders are created, distributed, monitored and closed out electronically. The client has the ability to analyze move data when planning each move and therein can make informed decisions.
Asset Management
Asset tags and bar codes establish a thorough asset list that help companies track every piece of equipment and furniture in every facility globally. The information is loaded and then tracked in the CAFM relational database and inside CAD drawings that are accessed via a web-browser. Using CAD/CAFM technology, authorized personnel quickly access furnishings, electrical & HVAC equipment, copiers, Emergency Power Off (EPO), fire sprinkler risers and other gear.
Standards Development
Developing specific standards becomes paramount in optimizing the technology-based systems offered by FMG, particularly with integrated systems. Our experienced staff specializes in preparing standards adapted specifically for client operational requirements, including:
- File & CAD Drawing Naming Guidelines
- Room Numbering Standards
- CAD Standards Database
- Telecommunications Standards
- Space Standards
- Equipment Numbering
- Standard Naming Schemes
Web-Based Project Management
Web-based program management is only a reality when internal and external program team members use available information to implement their assigned tasks. Real time documentation updates, immediate notification of changed conditions, work order management, budgeting and schedules are necessary to bring web-based management systems into common use. FMG can administer ongoing program management and facility maintenance activities using the latest web-based program management technology, as well as train client personnel.
Report Distribution
The purpose of the technologies and consulting services provided by FMG help clients reduce the time of performance of FM services and the costs and effort to perform FM services, along with minimizing or eliminating facility downtime. We also improve productivity, safety and product quality, documentation management, and information flow and database management. Once all information has been gathered and entered into the CAD/CAFM systems, it must be made available to users, management and strategic business partners in easy to use format. FMG creates reports specifically tailored to the customer’s functional requirements and allows approved users to perform queries using client/server and web-based technologies. |
